Lake Eyasi is a salt lake located in the northern part of Tanzania in East Africa. It is located at the southwestern corner of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and is bordered by the Eyasi escarpment to the north and the Kidero Mountains to the northeast.
The lake is shallow and varies in size depending on the season, with a maximum depth of around 6 meters. It is home to several different ethnic groups, including the Hadzabe and Datoga people, who have traditionally lived in the area for thousands of years and continue to practice their traditional hunting and gathering lifestyles.
Lake Eyasi and its surrounding areas are also home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including several species of birds, fish, and mammals such as baboons, zebras, and giraffes. It is a popular destination for tourists who come to explore the local culture and wildlife.
