Itinerary

Day 1 – Arusha – Tarangire National Park:

After breakfast, you will be greeted by your guide and after an approximately 2-hour drive you will reach to the Lake Manyara National Park. As you enter the park, your guide will open the roof for a better viewing experience. Tarangire is home to the largest elephant herds in the north of Tanzania. Giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests as well as various antelopes and gazelles can also be spotted here. The landscape is made up of seasonal marshes and a seemingly endless tree savannah with its mighty baobab trees. After extensive game drives in the park, you will stay overnight at Fanaka Campsite on Full Board basis.

Day 2 – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park with an optional – visit to Olduvai Gorge (Millions of years ago, the site was that of a large lake, the shores of which were covered with successive deposits of volcanic ash. Excavation work there was pioneered by Louis and Mary Leakey beginning in 1931. The Serengeti National park covers 14,763 km² (5,700 square miles) of grassland plains and savannah as well as river trine forest and woodlands. The park lies in the north of the country, bordered to the north by the national Tanzania and Kenyan border, where it is continuous with the Masai Mara National Park Reserve. Stay overnight at Seronera Campsite on Full Board basis.

Day 3 – Full Day at Serengeti National Park

We kick start your day with an early rise, heading out before dawn for an unforgettable sunrise game drive. Serenaded by the melodious songs of the birds, you’ll spend your morning in search of elusive leopards and majestic lions on the prowl for their morning meal. Keeps an eye out for the serene sight of hippos returning to their aquatic abodes, accompanied by their families Around 9 am, we’ll return to your accommodation for a relaxed and leisurely breakfast. Then, at 10:30 am, we’ll resume our game drive. Your experienced driver will carefully choose the optimal route, considering the season and your preferences, to maximize your chances of encountering the diverse wildlife that calls the Serengeti home. As the day unfolds, we will conclude with a delightful dinner and another night’s stay in the heart of the Serengeti National Park. Your accommodation will be tailored to your chosen standard and preferences from our available options.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority:

Following breakfast, we hit the road once again, making our way back towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Our drive retraces our steps through the Serengeti, albeit via a different route, providing ample opportunities to spot the animals that may have eluded you on the second day of your safari. As far as the eye can see, you’ll behold vast herds of thousands upon thousands of animals; wildebeests and zebras migrating in unison, towering and graceful giraffes, leaping antelopes and gazelles, the mighty African elephant, and the highly esteemed group of animals: the predators.

During this drive, you will have the chance to spot sleek cheetahs and elusive leopards, foraging hyenas, and, last but not least, the king of the savannah himself–the lion. Tonight, you will dine and spend the night either on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater or in the nearby town of Karatu, based on the standard and type of accommodation you’ve chosen from our options. Stay overnight Simba Campsite – overlooking the crater floor!

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Mto wa Mbu:

After breakfast, your journey will take you to the renowned Ngorongoro Crater, regarded by some as the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you catch your first glimpse of this expansive, lush caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you will quickly grasp why it has earned such a prestigious reputation. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to over 120 mammal species, including the celebrated Big Five, stands as one of the world’s most coveted safari destinations. It’s an especially favorable spot for observing the endangered black rhinoceros indulging in a solitary meal on the grassy plains. You will also witness hippopotamuses enjoying the refreshing waters.
