Itinerary
Day 1 – Arusha – Tarangire National Park:
After breakfast, you will be picked-up at 08:30 AM by your guide from your hotel in Arusha and after an approximately 2-hour drive you will reach the Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, your guide will open the roof for a better viewing experience. Tarangire is home to the largest elephant herds in the north of Tanzania. Giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests as well as various antelopes and gazelles can also be spotted here. The landscape is made up of seasonal marshes and a seemingly endless tree savannah with its mighty baobab trees. After extensive game drives in the park, you will stay overnight at Marera Valley Lodge to overnight on Full Board basis.
Day 2 – Serengeti National Park:
After breakfast you will continue to the lush highlands where crops such as wheat, corn and coffee are grown. Travelling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area you might stop for a breath-taking view over the Ngorongoro Crater before you continue to the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti means “endless plains” in the language of the Masai and you will see the grassland savannah stretching to the horizon. Bizarre rock formations dot the grassy landscape where predators roam. Blue wildebeests, Thomson’s gazelles, zebras and buffaloes are on their menu… Through the high and open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to enjoy the diversified habitats and landscapes of the park. You will arrive in the Seronera Valley for an evening meal and overnight stay at Embalakai Luxury Tented Camp on Full Board basis.
Day 3 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority:
Wake ups call at 06:00 AM to have just a cup of hot coffee then proceed for the early morning game drive, this morning game drive is very important as you will be able to witness the early morning kills from the big five only if you will be lucky enough. After morning game drive back to the Lodge at 09:30 AM to have your main breakfast, checkout and there after you will check out the Lodge and proceed with game drives en-route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Stay overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge on Full Board basis.
Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Drive Back to Arusha:
An early morning breakfast and then descend the Ngorongoro Crater at 07:00 AM for crater tour. This is world heritage site; the incomparable Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest “caldera”. Dominated by cliffs standing some 600 meters high and presenting a sheer drop down to a wide-open space of some 246 square km, and you may see everything from elephant to lion, and if you’re lucky, the near-extinct black rhino, all amongst large herds of zebra and wildebeest. In the afternoon exit the crater and then drive back to Arusha.
