Important to know

The porters will transport your primary duffel bag with a weight limit of 15 kg (35 lbs) on Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Excess or additional luggage will require hiring additional porters. Pack clothing in sturdy, waterproof bags. In your daypack, bring essentials like water, sunglasses, camera, binoculars, rain gear, and any other necessary items for the day as you won’t have access to your main luggage until the end of the trek. Take extra batteries as cold weather reduces battery life. Keep crucial climbing gear, especially boots, with you on the flight in case of delayed baggage. Consider bringing older clothing items to gift to your guides and porters.
